Do I need to buy any paint or supplies?
No. At Zenith, our initial quote will cover all of the supplies necessary to get the job done from start to finish.
What kinds of paint will you use?
We are proud to use Sherwin WIlliams and Benjamin Moore paint brands. We use a variety of different paints and primers depending on the specific needs of the job.
What’s your process?
First, we start with a primer. This basecoat is designed to protect the material beneath while providing the best surface for the later coats to adhere. From here we will begin to apply the base coats in the color of your selection. When working on exterior jobs, we will use a special paint that is resistant to the elements and will continue to look bright and bold for years to come. Finally, we will move on to the finishing coats. These are decorative finishes that will make your paint job look fantastic and last longer. Eggshell finish is a common finish used primarily on wooden surfaces. It has a slight sheen to it and can withstand being cleaned and scrubbed. Gloss and Satin are the most durable finishes, perfect for use on wood, metal and in high traffic areas. They are available in both latex and solvent based forms and each has its own benefits relative to the situation.
What about special areas that require extra attention?
At Zenith Painting & Coatings, we are prepared to complete any job in the best way possible. That’s why we also use a selection of specialty paints for areas that can be especially tough. For bathrooms and kitchens, we have paint that are formulated to resist moisture and even help prevent fungal growth. For concrete flooring and floorboards, we use paint that is durable and hardwearing. Typically solvent based, these paints will firmly bind to whatever material they are applied to and will last for years. Finally, for metal heavy projects we have specialty metal paint that comes in different textures. Designed specifically for metal, these paints can even be applied to areas that have some rusting.
