Building owners will initially look at their concrete platform and immediately stir the imagination for solutions to cover up the industrial looking floor. Yet, many owners are missing out on the opportunity to not only stay ahead of contemporary trends, but to save money for residential and commercial purposes. A polished concrete floor has a slew of attractive properties and quirks, that will make your life simpler than the platform itself. Take a look!

Commercial Floor Benefits
- Save Money: Using the concrete platform as the finished floor surface is more cost-effective and maintenance costs will be reduced for your business.
- Resistant To High Traffic: Owners are able to maintain high traffic areas only, rather than redoing the entire floor which saves times and money.
- Less Maintenance and Extended Service Life: Polished floors are easy to clean, requiring occasional mopping and sweeping. The impermeable surface of polished concrete will also resists marks made by heavy machinery and staining from various liquids.
- Resistance to Moisture: If the owner decides to install additional flooring, a polished concrete floor will still be beneficial since it wicks moisture and prevents the separation of materials.
- Light Reflectivity: Building and homeowners want to present a clean and contemporary image. The utility bills will also be reduced by having reflective floors thus eliminating the need for artificial lighting.
- Sustainable Alternative: Zenith’s concrete polishing process does not require harmful coatings, adhesives, or cleaners.

How It Works
[/text_divider]
Our concrete polishing process begins with a grinding process that removes the top layer and smooths it out in preparation for the polish. This grinding process has to be layered, starting with a rough grit grinding disc (30 grit), slowly working our way up to a finer grit grinding disc. With every pass we make with a finer and finer grinding disc, the smoother the surface becomes.
Following the grinding process, we start making passes with resin polishing pads. We always begin with the lowest level (400 grit resin polishing pads) and work our way up to the level of gloss and shine that you desire!
Our polishing team always completes Steps 1 – 7 of the polishing process, with the option to build on the polish levels from 400 grit, all the way up to 3,000 grit.
